Privacy

Effective 11 October 2026. Planet Zoo Field Guide is an independent informational site operated by its publisher, reachable at [email protected].

Site analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which guides people read and which navigation, filters and sharing controls they use. Analytics runs by default and may store first-party cookies such as _ga to distinguish browser visits. Google receives technical information about your browser, device and site interactions.

Our custom events use broad labels such as page type, section, enclosure category and action. We do not send animal search text, checklist contents, email messages or full query strings in our custom events. Advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation are disabled.

This preference applies to this browser. Clearing local storage resets it. You can also manage cookies in your browser. Read Google’s privacy policy for its handling of analytics data.

What stays on your device

Your first-zoo checklist is saved in local storage in this browser. We do not upload its contents. Animal filters can be included in a shared URL so someone else can open the same view. Avoid putting personal information in the animal search field.

Images and video

Game images load from Frontier’s image service. Embedded videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain. Loading third-party content connects your browser to those providers, and interacting with video may involve additional data processing under their policies. You can follow the original video link instead.

Hosting and contact

Cloudflare hosts this site and may process connection and security information to deliver it. If you email us, we use your message and address to respond and handle corrections. We do not offer accounts, payments or a public comment system.
