Planet Zoo 2 Deluxe edition vs Standard: what changes?

Deluxe adds Axolotl, Blue and Gold Fusilier, Golden Eagle, Golden Lion Tamarin, Great Hammerhead and Longfin Batfish. The animal cards on this page open their official Zoopedia entries.

The practical decision is whether one of these animals is central to your planned zoo. For example, a Great Hammerhead aquarium plan depends on having that species; a general aquarium theme does not require that particular shark. Look through the base-game aquarium list before deciding that you need Deluxe for an aquatic zone.

Similarly, an aviary plan and a Golden Eagle plan are different purchases. The flying-habitat system belongs to the base game, while Golden Eagle is one of the six named extras. Start with your animal shortlist, then choose the edition that covers it.

Frontier lists the preorder bonus separately from the Deluxe animal selection. The announced cosmetic items include a Toucan Eat Shop and signage, three donation bins, and a tiger stand-in wall. These are decorations and facilities for dressing a zoo; they are not six additional animals.

2. Use the animal list to check the Deluxe label on each entry.
3. If none of the six extras matters to that plan, compare Standard first.
4. If an extra is central to your design, compare the Deluxe checkout total on your platform.
5. Check the platform and system requirements before paying.
